Dominic Anthony FCCA ACA
Dominic is a co-founding partner and heads up the firm’s business services offering. Dominic trained in Cambridge and his portfolio covers a broad number of sectors but has a technology and media bias. Dominic leads the business development activities of the firm and his specialism is advising new and long-running businesses on strategic decisions to achieve their objectives. Dominic is active in a number of start-ups companies in the area, and enjoys golf and socialising with friends in his spare time.
Adrian Wilson CTA
Adrian is a leading private tax advisor and is head of Private Client Services at Ashcroft Anthony. He gained his experience in the private client department of a ‘big four’ firm of accountants and continued through to the corporate and partnership divisions. At Ashcroft Anthony, Adrian heads up a large portfolio of families, trusts and high net worth individuals. He specialises in capital tax planning, estate preservation and tax planning for non-domiciles. In his spare time Adrian enjoys spending time with his three children, and indulging in his passions of classical music and Opera.
Angie Sleat FCA
Angie has been an integral part of the Ashcroft Anthony team since inception and is our Managing Partner. She is responsible for a substantial portfolio of clients, from large corporate groups to small start-up businesses, and is our charity accounting specialist. Angie trained in an Essex-based firm of Chartered Accountants and has been a full member of the ICAEW since 2002. She also fills the role of technical partner at Ashcroft Anthony, advising the firm and assisting clients on audit and accounting standards, company law and tax compliance issues. In her spare time Angie enjoys baking, reading and spending time with her baby daughter.
Tom is a corporate finance partner with over 15 years’ transaction experience gained principally in London and Cambridge with leading national firms. He specialises in advising shareholders, directors and management teams on acquisitions, disposals, fundraising projects, business planning and preparing businesses for sale. Over the last few years he has completed many transactions across the region and he has strong relationships with banks, lawyers, private equity houses, business angels and other providers of finance. Outside work, Tom enjoys spending time with his young children, consuming good food and wine, and playing cricket and golf.
Ben Heneker ACCA
Ben joined Ashcroft Anthony in 2007, completing all his training here and becoming a full member of the ACCA in 2012. Ben has worked with the majority of our clients over the years and proven to be an invaluable member of the team. He started managing his own portfolio of clients in early 2014. Ben provides support and advice to businesses across a broad range of sectors, specialising in the provision of audit services and technical guidance. In his spare time Ben enjoys sports, particularly football which he plays regularly, and keeping up with his friends.
Josephine Sclater MBA
Josephine is our Practice Manager and joined in 2014. She has over 15 years’ operations management experience in professional services in a career that has encompassed financial services, retail and management consultancy. Josephine makes sure that clients have a seamless experience in their dealings with us, as well as helping drive all aspects of the business. In her spare time, Josephine enjoys horse riding, walking the dog and spending time with friends and family.
Peter Rayney FCA, CTA (Fellow), TEP – Consultant
Peter provides tax consultancy services to owner-managed businesses on a wide range of tax issues. He enjoys helping clients overcome difficult technical problems and his main specialisms are corporate tax, company reorganisations, corporate finance tax (including company sales and acquisitions) and all aspects of owner managed business taxation. He is a widely-recognised tax author and lecturer and regularly contributes to the professional press. He won Taxation’s ‘Tax Writer of the Year’ award in 2002 and 2014 and was shortlisted for the award in 2008, 2009, and 2011.
